Joy

It’s Finding Me Friday. My heart is very heavy with the devastating fires affecting my home away from home, Southern California.

In times like these, it’s hard to remember that even in the worst conditions, we can find joy. Joy from unexpected help, joy from loved ones checking in to make sure we’re safe, joy from receiving a much-needed hug, joy from still being alive.

Creating is also about living into our joy. As creatives, our work can soothe tender hearts and bring hope. Our work can inspire movements and make change.

So today I encourage you to make time to create joy, give it away, watch it grow, then welcome it home.
