Good Trouble
It’s Finding Me Friday. In the spirit of February’s Black History Month, I’ve been reflecting on those who courageously stood up in challenging times to make a difference. The late civil rights leader and congressman, John Lewis, championed Americans to find ways to cause good trouble in our communities to stand up to hate. Clearly we need a lot of good and necessary trouble right now.
As artists and patrons of the arts, collectively we have the power to change hearts and minds.
Artists - how can your work cause good trouble? How can your work encourage uncomfortable conversations, or spark a movement? How can your work be the inspiration we need in the world right now?
Patrons - please support local artists by participating in gallery openings, community art shows, monthly art walks, coffee shop installations, and more. Ask us questions about our work and why we create.
The Greater Puget Sound is filled with dynamic, thought-provoking art from amazing artists moving social consciousness forward. Find your place in the movement.
Keep creating.
